Yungas, paisajes y pueblos de montaña del NOA
The Yungas Biosphere Reserve is a territorial space recognized by UNESCO for its outstanding environmental and social importance. It is located in the northwest of Argentina, along the jujeño corridor that borders the first elevations of the Andes and the Quebrada de Humahuaca. The Yungas is a lush green ecosystem that harbors half of Argentina's biodiversity, including emblematic species such as the jaguar, peccary, tapir, ocelot, mayuato, toucan, marsh deer, and many others.
This book invites you to get to know and explore the Yungas, which still hold a certain mystery and a sense of distance for those living in large cities. However, the Yungas welcome visitors and protect those who inhabit them. It only takes getting to know them and establishing a daily relationship with them to discover their stories and beauty.
