Mundo Pilagá - Guía Visual
The Gran Chaco Americano is a geographic region covering 1,000,000 square kilometers located in the center of the South American continent. Argentina, Bolivia, and Paraguay share this ecosystem. It is one of the regions with the greatest environmental, biological, and ethnic diversity. We will attempt to address this multiple richness throughout this Visual Guide through the Pilagá world.
The region known as the Gran Chaco is believed to have been inhabited from 12,000 to 7,000 years ago. Once the Spanish settled in the Americas, it is estimated that by the early 16th century, around 300,000 people from at least 15 ethnic groups lived in this area.
